Firstly, this is really well written and nicely structured. Living in western societies, it can often seem like we have no right to our own sorrow, and it's so much easier just to take the easy way out by focusing not on outrage or even on what is just, but on the simple, passive mission of assuring white people you are not a threat, that you are not like those other blacks.
