I love this. It's sad, but I love it. I had a crush on a white girl in one of my classes in junior high, until the day I'd finally worked up the courage to ask for her number, before during a conversation about old rock stars where she described Mick Jagger as having "n*gger lips." But I think just as it's important for white people to be able to see the beauty of people of color, it is perhaps more important for us to see the beauty in ourselves and others who look like us.
