Nate Robinson Owes the Entire Black Community an Apology

Nate Robinson is yet another retired athlete who just couldn’t be satisfied with his own life, even after having earned millions of dollars as a professional basketball player. Robinson could have done the honorable thing and invested his millions in Amazon or Microsoft stock, or even a chain of fast food franchises. But instead, at the age of 36, Nate Robinson chose to make his professional boxing debut against the 23 year old YouTube star Jake Paul.

The bell rings. Nate Robinson clumsily stumbles towards a bewildered Jake Paul, embracing him like a drunken lover. Boxing fans would notice that Robinson had neither an offensive strategy nor a defensive plan. Even a kid would know to protect his face.

One of his hands stayed down at his side while the other just sort of poked at Jake Paul as if Robinson himself was unsure what a boxing match entailed. Throughout the entirety of the “match” Nate Robinson’s face and head stayed completely exposed and unprotected. He lunged at Jake Paul every chance he got, but seemed unsure what to do once he arrived at his destination.

These were not professional boxers, and neither man is likely to be confused with one, but at least Jake Paul looked as if he grasped the general…
